Darlington Room Hire is a brand new service, devised from a partnership between Age UK Darlington and County Durham & Darlington Fire and Rescue Service offering affordable room hire services to charities, community groups, businesses and local authorities.

 Our fantastic Ukulele group were featured as part of BBC's Look North programme and also again on Sunday Politics last weekend. Take a look at the recording if you missed it.

 

Good Friends last night (Wednesday 11th March 2015) won a National Award in recognition of it's contribution to Health and Social Care.

As part of the 'No one should have no one' national campaign, we're encouraging people to get involved by picking up a 'Hugs for Mugs' Mug Cozy, or even help to make some of their own to be sold. All proceeds raised will be used to combat loneliness and isolation for older people in Darlington.

There's loads on for you to try this February at Age UK Darlington, including the return of our Tea Dance, new Wednesday IT drop-in's and our brand new Autumn Years group. All taking place at Bradbury House.

 Four members of the Age UK Darlington Veterans Club are planning to parachute on the 28 August 2014, the day the Lancaster bombers visits Durham Tees Valley Airport.

The Board of Trustees would be delighted if you could attend Age UK Darlington’s Annual General Meeting to be held on Tuesday 16th September 2013 at 6.00pm in the Empire Room at Bradbury House.

Our guest speaker will be Murray Rose who will discuss Ageing Well in Darlington: Putting the flesh on the bones of the plans to support people to be healthier and independent for longer.

A community group has helped Age UK Darlington provide vital support for people with dementia by donating £250.

We have a two year temporary vacancy for a Health & Wellbeing Activities Facilitator. 35 hours per week, salary £16,000pa. Must hold a full driving licence and have own transport.
