You're invited to celebrate the anniversary of the partnership between Age UK Darlington and County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service.

Three4 Darlington, a brand new information hub created in partnership between Age UK Darlington, Durham Constabulary and Durham & Darlington Fire Service opens this month.

Join us for a celebration of the Queens Official Birthday, in partnership with Darlington & Durham Fire & Rescue Service.

A brand new 6 week Tai Chi course begins this Summer at Age UK Darlington, with an experienced tutor, places will be limited so please do enquire and book. 

The week starting 16th May 2016 is National Dementia Awareness Week, and in partnership with Darlington Fire Service we have pulled together a programme of activities encouraging people with Dementia and their families or carers to take part.

Getting the internet to work for you can help make life easier, helping you stay in touch, explore your passions and even simplify and speed up daily tasks. We are supporting mobile phone company EE with their employee volunteering programme, which is all about building digital skills and sharing connectivity with everyone in the UK.  

AGE UK Darlington with support from Barclays colleagues at Darlington branch are helping to reduce internet fraud and safe shopping on-line for the elderly.

 Two new activities launch this week, and we're offering the first session completely FREE for you to come along and try.

 Age UK Darlington next Diabetes Support Café will be held on Thursday March 26th at Bradbury House from 10.00 until 11.30 in the Majestic Room.

 There's loads on for you to try this December at Age UK Darlington, including new Fitness and Health classes, IT courses, a Christmas café menu and more.

A FREE tea dance is taking place in Darlington on Tuesday 25th November 2014. Age UK Darlington will be opening its doors to dancers of all ages and experiences, offering nostalgic 1940’s music, tea and snacks and above all fun.

Come along to our 40's & 50's themed Retro Night, taking place at Maidendale House, Burnside Roda (Darlington, DL1 4SU) on Friday 14th November 2014 from 19:00 until 23.30.

 Continuing on the success of the Elm Ridge Lunch Club which launched earlier this year, there are a number of Lunch Clubs taking place across Darlington in September. If you know someone who would like to attend, or you would like to help out at the clubs, please contact us to confirm your attendance.

Continuing from the success of the first Friends Lunch Club that took place on 13th May, the club will continue to be held on the second Tuesday of each month throughout 2014, with the next taking place on 10th June. 

Age UK Darlington Walks (in conjunction with Kirkland Guided walks) are taking place on several dates in May and June, offering educational and relaxing walks through various locations around Darlington.

Why not pop along to our next Tea Dance at Bradbury House? The dance takes place the last Tuesday of every month from 3:15 to 4:45PM.

The class, ran and led by local enthusiasts is open to everyone including beginners. No partners are necessary and there's no need to book, just arrive on the day.

The class costs £2, which includes tea/coffee and cake or biscuits.

An even to mark Hearing Awareness Day will be held at Bradbury House on May 22nd 2014. The event takes place from 10AM until 3.30PM and provides the opportunity for people to book a free hearing aid test. If you, or someone you know could benefit from the hearing test, please contact us on 01325 362832 or enquire at Bradbury House reception to book a slot.
