Clubs, Groups & Societies

There are a wide number of clubs, groups and societies based at Age UK Darlington.

Joining a group is your opportunity to meet new people with similar interests and get involved in new activities.

 

Darlington Stroke Club

Darlington Stroke Club offers people who have suffered a stroke a place to go where they can feel safe, gain back confidence and take part in a range of activities.
Stroke ClubThe Club also offers a change to meet like minded and is run by a dedicated group of volunteers who are always on hand to help you the best they can.

Stroke Club runs every Monday from 10.00am to 2.30pm and is open to people of all ages.

You can pop in for an hour and have a friendly chat and a cuppa or stay for the day and enjoy a freshly cooked meal at our Cafe Refresh.

The club is held at Bradbury House and has a small charge of £2 to cover room hire and refreshments.

Darlington Veterans Café

Are you, or do you know a veteran of our armed services, why not come along to share and remember your experiences with other veterans.

Open to all veterens, held every Wednesday, 10.00 to 12.00, in Age UK Darlingtons Bradbury House.

Hear to Meet

Why not come along to one of our Hear to Meet coffee groups for a chat, a chance to meet others and share your experiences?

Held the first tuesday of every month, 1.00 - 3.00. If you are having problem with hearing aids there will be trained professional on hand to repair them.

Memory Lane - Dementia Café

If you are suffering dementia or are caring for someone with dementia come along to our dementia cafe. You will meet friendly and supportive people affected by dementia and can spend time sharing information and experiences.

Held on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month, 10.00 - 12.00 in Cafe Refresh at Age UK Darlington, Bradbury House, Beaumonth Street West, Darlington, DL1 5SX.

Dementia Forum

The Alzheimer's Society hold a dementia carers forum on the 3rd Thursday of every month 11.00 to 12.00 at Bradbury House.
